We believe strongly in our commitment to the University of Wisconsin and a core tenet of that principle is academics. We routinely promote strong studying habits and in the most recent semester achieved a house average GPA of 3.306 (May 2019), above the fraternity average for UW. Our academics chair provides study rooms in crowded libraries and expands on our already diverse test bank.
Amidst a changing world the men here at Beta Gamma continue to work with academic integrity and diligence. I am proud and excited to announce this year we were awarded the AMA/AFA Academic Award at the Northern Conference in January, our first academic chapter award in 10 years. Fortunately, the good work does not end here, and the brothers of Beta Gamma continue to flourish academically with 37 brothers achieving a GPA of 3.5 or more in the Fall semester.
I am excited to announce that this year’s award winners are:
Highest GPA: Matthew Coletta (4.0; 16 credits)
Most Improved GPA with a 3.6+ for second semester: Owen Shapiro (Difference of 1.031)
Most Improved GPA with a 3.0-3.6 for second semester: Brandon Biersack (Difference of 0.846)
Congratulations to all our winners, your hard work and perseverance has paid off and you should all be proud of what you have achieved.
I look forward to seeing each member of the chapter grow from strength to strength through this semester. Whether working at home or here in Madison continue to work hard and stay organized. It’s a good day to be a Delt.
